Send your task list
Write each job on its own line, add a photo where it helps, and tell us the address. We reply with one price for the visit and what to have ready.
Why a task list works better than an hourly guess
Handyman jobs range a lot in length. Hanging one mirror takes minutes; mounting a large TV over a fireplace with the cables hidden can take most of a morning. An hourly rate leaves you guessing how many hours you are buying. A priced task list tells you the cost of the whole visit before anyone picks up a drill.
A good list is specific. Instead of "put up some shelves", write "three floating shelves, 90 cm each, on drywall in the living room, shelves already bought". Say what the wall is, whether you have the hardware, and which floor the job is on. A photo of the wall or the box saves a back-and-forth.
Put everything on one list. Five small tasks in one visit costs less travel and set-up than five visits, and the jobs that need the same tools tend to go together. If something on the list is outside what we do, we will say so rather than attempt it.
Set-up right after the move
New-home set-up is where handyman work and moving meet. Our movers already reassemble your furniture as part of a move booking; add TV mounting, blinds and a few fixes and the new place is ready the same week, with the old one cleaned behind you.
What to include for each type of job
| Job | Tell us | Have ready |
|---|---|---|
| TV mounting | Screen size, wall type, height, cable plan | The TV and the mount, if you bought one |
| Furniture assembly | The items and the brand or model | Unopened boxes in the room they belong in |
| Blinds and curtains | How many windows, inside or outside mount | The blinds or rods, measured to the window |
| Minor plumbing | What is leaking or running, and where | Access under the sink or behind the toilet |
| Hanging and shelving | Item weight and wall type | Pieces laid out where you want them |
Handyman near me in the GTA
We help with repairs and installations across the GTA, from condos and townhouses to detached homes. Newer homes often need a full round of set-up: blinds on every window, a TV on the wall and closets fitted. Older homes are more likely to have plaster walls and odd stud spacing, which is worth mentioning when you send photos.
Your questions, answered
Before you book
What is your handyman hourly rate?
We do not publish an hourly handyman rate. Send a list of the jobs, with photos where useful, and we price the whole visit so you know the total before we start.
Do you do plumbing?
Minor fixes only, such as a dripping tap, a toilet that keeps running or a loose fixture. Anything involving new lines, drains or the water heater should go to a plumber, and we will tell you if your job is one of those.
Do I need to buy the parts?
Usually you supply the item being installed, such as the TV mount, blinds or furniture. For small parts like a toilet flapper, tell us the model and we will confirm whether you should pick it up or we bring it.
Can you do several jobs in one visit?
Yes, and that is the most efficient way to book. Put everything on one list and we price the visit as a whole.
Is furniture assembly free if I book movers?
Assembly and disassembly of the furniture we move is included in every moving package. Assembling new furniture you have just bought is a separate set-up job; add it to your list.
Do you patch drywall or paint?
Ask us with a photo. Our focus is set-up and small fixes; we will tell you whether a patch is something we take on.
