Before packing a large room, compare the furniture with the space it is going into. Note the width of the new entrance and the position of doors, radiators and kitchen counters. A piece can fit through a doorway without fitting where you want it. Share photographs and dimensions so the crew understands which pieces need disassembly and which are staying behind.
Give each item a destination
Use separate labels for the new home, a family pickup, a donation and anything being discarded. Keep these groups physically apart where possible. If the moving vehicle needs to stop at another address, include that stop in the quote request. A relative collecting an armchair later should not discover that it has already been loaded with the rest of the household.
Make the first evening comfortable
Choose a clear place for bedding, everyday dishes, medication and a change of clothes. Carry essential personal items yourself. Mark the boxes you want opened first and tell the crew which room is ready for them. If someone has limited mobility, keep a chair and an unobstructed path available while other rooms are being arranged.

Coordinate the people helping you
One person should collect the moving instructions, even when several relatives are helping. Write down who has the keys, who will meet the truck and who can approve a change to the agreed work. Send one consolidated inventory rather than several conflicting messages. For an apartment or retirement residence, ask the property contact about move-in hours and elevator access directly; do not rely on an arrangement from another resident. Schedule any clear-out separately and arrange cleaning after the selected belongings have left. That keeps the move focused on the items going to the new address and gives everyone a simpler handover.

Can you help with only the furniture we are keeping?
Yes. Identify the chosen pieces clearly and send a separate list of items staying behind. If you need unwanted furniture removed, ask for that as a separate scope before moving day so the crew and vehicle are planned correctly.
What does the hourly rate include in Aurora?
Two movers, a vehicle, fuel, mileage, furniture assembly and disassembly, and insurance are listed in every moving package. Ask about the applicable coverage terms. HST and packing materials are additional, and the final total depends on billable time.
Is sending a quote request the same as booking?
No. A request starts the conversation. The team reviews the date, inventory and access, then discusses the price and scope with you. Availability and the booking details need to be agreed before the move is reserved.
Can I add packing or cleaning to this move?
Yes. Specify the rooms, items or cleaning tasks you want help with. These services are quoted separately from the vehicle package. Tell us whether you already have boxes and whether the cleaning space will be empty when access is available.
What if the inventory changes after I get a quote?
Send the revised list and any new photos before moving day. Extra furniture, another address or different access can affect the vehicle and expected time. The team can review the change with you so the agreed scope remains clear.
