What an Oakville move with us looks like
A lot of moves inside Oakville are short hops: someone leaving a condo in the Uptown Core for a townhouse in Glen Abbey, or a family moving from Bronte to a detached home up in North Oakville. On a move that short, the hours go into loading and unloading, not driving, so the way a crew wraps and stacks matters more than anything else on the day.
Our crews take beds, dining tables and sectionals apart at the old place and put them back together at the new one. That is part of the hourly rate, not an add-on. When you compare quotes, ask each mover whether disassembly is billed separately; it is one of the places a low hourly number tends to grow.
Fuel and mileage are also inside the rate. You will not see a separate truck fee or a per-kilometre charge for a move inside Oakville. The only things that sit outside the rate are packing materials, such as boxes and stretch wrap, and HST.
Estimate the cost of your Oakville move
Choose a truck and the hours you expect. The estimate uses our published rates and adds 13% HST. It is a planning number, not a quote, and the final time window is confirmed with you before move day.
1. Pick a truck
2. Start from a home size (planning range)
Hour ranges are a planning guide, not a quote: real time depends on stairs, elevators, how packed you are and the drive between homes. Packing materials are extra. Minimum booking time is confirmed when you reserve.

Packing services
Pack yourself, have us pack everything, or meet in the middle. The hourly rate applies to packing time; materials are charged separately.
Full packing
We pack the whole home the day before or the morning of the move, room by room, with every box labelled for where it goes in the new place.
Kitchen and fragiles only
The two rooms that take the longest and break the most. A popular middle option for people who are happy to pack their own clothes and books.
Wrap and protect
Furniture, mattresses and appliances are wrapped on site before they go on the truck so nothing rubs against anything else on the way.
Unpack and set up
At the new home we can unpack the kitchen, reassemble furniture and mount the TV, so you are not sleeping on a mattress on the floor the first night.
Move, clean and set up in one booking
Most moves come with two other jobs. The old place needs a move-out clean for the landlord or buyer, and the new place needs the TV on the wall and the beds built. We do all three, so you book once and coordinate one team instead of three.
How to get your move booked
- 1
Tell us about the move
Home size, moving date, both postal codes and anything heavy or awkward: a piano, a safe, a treadmill, a fridge that needs to go downstairs.
- 2
Get a confirmed truck and window
We call or text back with the right truck package, the crew, an arrival window and a time estimate based on what you told us.
- 3
Move day
The crew protects the furniture, disassembles what needs it, loads, drives and reassembles in the rooms you choose.
- 4
Add-ons, if you want them
Move-out cleaning at the old home, junk removal for what you are not taking, TV mounting and assembly at the new one.
Oakville neighbourhoods we move
We move people across Oakville, from the lake to the 407. Older streets in Old Oakville and Kerr Village often mean narrow staircases and tight turns, so we plan for extra wrapping time. Newer subdivisions in West Oak Trails, Palermo and the North Oakville developments usually mean wider halls and garages, but also longer driveways and more furniture per home.
Condo moves in the Uptown Core and along Lakeshore need a booked service elevator and often a certificate of insurance for the building. Tell us the building when you request a quote and we will tell you what to ask your property manager for.

Office furniture wrapped and staged before loading
This is a real job: office desks and chairs shrink-wrapped and staged in one room before loading. The same approach goes for a dining set or a dresser at home. Wrapping takes a few minutes per piece, which is a lot less than refinishing a scratched tabletop.
Your questions, answered
Before you book
How much do movers cost in Oakville?
Our rates are $100 an hour for two movers with a small cargo van, $120 an hour with a medium truck for one- to two-bedroom moves, and $130 an hour with a large truck for three- to four-bedroom moves. Fuel, mileage, furniture assembly and insurance are included. Packing materials and HST are extra.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Please confirm the minimum booking time when you reserve your move. We state it on your quote before you book, so there are no surprises on the day.
Do you charge extra to take apart and rebuild furniture?
No. Furniture assembly and disassembly are included in every hourly package, including beds, tables and most flat-pack furniture.
Do you supply boxes and packing materials?
Yes. Packing materials, including stretch wrap, are charged separately from the hourly rate. Tell us how much you want packed and we will include materials on your quote.
Can you clean my old home after the move?
Yes. We offer move-in and move-out cleaning, and can book it on the same quote as your move so the old place is cleaned once it is empty.
Which truck do I need?
As a guide: a 12–14 ft cargo van for studios and single-person moves, a 15–20 ft truck for one- and two-bedroom homes, and a 22–26 ft truck for three- and four-bedroom homes. If your home is furnished heavily, mention it and we will size up.
Do you move condos in Oakville?
Yes. Book the service elevator with your building and ask whether it needs a certificate of insurance from the movers. Tell us the building and we will help you get what the property manager needs.
