What we usually take away

Furniture

Sofas, sectionals, recliners, mattresses and box springs, bed frames, dressers, desks, tables and chairs.

Move-out leftovers

The things that did not make the truck: the old bookshelf, the spare-room bed, bags of donations you never dropped off.

Garage and basement clutter

Old bikes, broken lawn furniture, boxes of things nobody has opened since the last move, kids' toys and exercise equipment.

Renovation leftovers

Old cabinets, doors, carpet and small amounts of debris from a weekend project. Tell us the volume so we can plan the load.

Appliances and electronics

Washers, dryers, stoves, TVs and old computers. Fridges, freezers and air conditioners hold refrigerant, so mention them so we can confirm how they will be handled.

Office clear-outs

Old desks, chairs, filing cabinets and shelving from a business that is downsizing or relocating.

What we cannot take

Paint, stains and solvents

Leftover cans of paint, varnish, thinner and similar liquids go to Halton Region's hazardous waste depot.

Propane tanks and fuel

Barbecue propane cylinders, gas cans and anything holding fuel are a fire risk in a loaded truck.

Chemicals and cleaners

Pool chemicals, pesticides, fertilisers, motor oil and strong cleaning products are hazardous waste too.

Batteries and fluorescent tubes

Car batteries, household batteries and fluorescent bulbs are collected separately as hazardous waste. Ask the Region where to drop them off.

Send a photo for a price

Take one or two pictures that show the whole pile, add the address and mention any stairs. We reply with a price for the job and a time to come and get it.

Where your junk goes

We would rather your old furniture had a second life than a trip to a landfill. When something is in good, usable shape, such as a solid wood dresser or a working lamp, we try to set it aside for donation. Metal, cardboard and other materials that can be recycled are separated where we can. What is left is disposed of properly.

We cannot promise any single item will be donated, because charities decide what they accept. If keeping something out of landfill matters to you, tell us when you send the photo and point out the pieces you think are reusable.

Common junk removal jobs in the GTA

  • Before or after a move

Clearing out before the movers arrive means fewer hours paying to move things you were going to throw out. After the move, the leftover pile at the old address is often the last thing standing between you and a clean handover.

  • Garage clean-outs

Garages and basements can fill up with old furniture, boxes and items you no longer use. We empty the junk so you can see what is worth keeping.

  • Basement clean-outs

We carry everything up the basement stairs ourselves and load it straight onto the truck, so you are not hauling a treadmill up a narrow staircase.

  • Estate and downsizing clear-outs

When a parent moves to a smaller place, we can move the pieces they are keeping and take away the rest in the same visit.

How to take a photo we can price from

  1. 1

    Show the whole pile

Step back far enough that everything is in one frame. A second photo from another angle helps with depth.

  2. 2

    Include something for scale

A door, a car or a person in the shot tells us how big the load really is.

  3. 3

    Mention access

Basement, second floor, backyard behind a locked gate, or right at the garage door: access changes how long the carrying takes.

  4. 4

    Flag anything unusual

Very heavy items, appliances, or anything you are unsure about. It is easier to sort out before the crew arrives.

Clear it, clean it, set up what is staying

Junk removal often comes right before a cleaning job or a move. We can clear the space, then do a deep clean or move-out clean, and assemble or mount whatever is staying, from a single booking.

Your questions, answered

Before you book

How much does junk removal cost in the GTA?

It is priced by the job. Send a photo of what needs to go, where it is, and whether there are stairs, and we reply with a price before anyone comes out.

Is there junk removal near me in the GTA?

We offer junk removal across the GTA. Send the address with your photo and we will confirm when we can come.

Do I need to bring everything to the curb?

No. The crew carries items out from wherever they are, including basements, upper floors and backyards. Just tell us about the access when you send the photo.

Can you take paint, propane or chemicals?

Those are household hazardous waste and generally go to Halton Region's hazardous waste depot. Check with the Region for what they accept and when.

Do you donate or recycle what you take?

We try to. Usable furniture is set aside for donation where a charity will take it, and recyclable material is separated where possible. Tell us if there are pieces you especially want reused.

Can junk removal be part of my moving booking?

Ask when you book your move. Putting junk removal on the same booking means one crew handles what goes to the new home and what goes away.
