Book the building before the truck
Reserve both elevators
Ask each building manager which elevator can be used, how to reserve it and when the reservation ends. An available passenger elevator is not the same as an approved moving slot. Put the written times in your quote request, including any gap between pickup and delivery.
Walk the loading route
Check the route from the suite to the truck, including the loading room, service corridor and any ramp. Take photos of low doorways or tight corners. A short drive across Toronto can still involve a long carry at each end, so distance alone does not describe the work.
Check the street, not just the address
A front entrance may face a street where the vehicle cannot stop. Ask your property manager about the loading entrance and consult Toronto’s parking information before making arrangements. Share the actual entrance and any access code privately with the team before moving day.

Pack for the first night upstairs
Keep keys, building documents, chargers and an overnight bag with you. Label boxes with destination rooms rather than just their contents, so the crew can place them without repeated questions. If you have a sofa, desk or bed that comes apart, send a picture and measurements before the move. Assembly and disassembly are included in the moving packages, but the team needs to understand the item and the route. Leave a clear path inside the apartment and avoid stacking boxes across the hallway. Arrange cleaning after the rooms are empty and before the handover, with the building access available for that visit too.
Send these details with your request
The route and date
Add the pickup and destination postal codes, your preferred date and any flexibility. Mention whether Toronto is the pickup, destination or both. The team checks availability before a booking is agreed.
The load and the access
Share a room-by-room inventory, photographs of larger items, stairs, elevator bookings and the vehicle access. Include additional stops and anything that needs extra care so the quote reflects the actual job.
The extra help you want
Choose full moving, packing support, cleaning or a separately quoted clear-out. You do not have to book every service. Ask for an itemized scope so you can see the moving package and any extras before deciding.
Let’s plan your Toronto move
Start with the two postal codes and a preferred day. We will discuss the inventory, access and package with you. Sending a request does not reserve a crew or commit you to a booking.
Your questions, answered
Before you book
What if my two elevator bookings do not line up?
Tell us the exact windows before reserving the move. We can discuss the order of work and the likely effect on billable time. Do not assume a loading bay can be used while waiting; that permission comes from your building.
How much do movers in Toronto cost?
Our vehicle packages are $100, $120 or $130 per hour with two movers. The final total depends on billable time and agreed extras. HST and packing materials are additional; ask about minimum hours and travel billing before booking.
Can I add packing to my Toronto move?
Yes. Tell us which rooms or fragile items need help, and whether you already have suitable boxes. Packing support and materials are discussed separately from the moving package so you can choose the scope you need.
Is insurance included in the hourly package?
Insurance is listed in the published packages. Ask the team for the applicable coverage, exclusions and claim process before booking, particularly for fragile or high-value items. An included insurance line does not mean every item has unlimited coverage.
Do you have an office in Toronto?
We serve moves across the GTA, including Toronto. This guide is for customers planning a move here; it does not represent a separate local office. Share your date and postal codes to check availability.
