Questions to put to your condo management before move day
Every tower has its own rules, and they change. Ask these at both buildings if you are moving condo to condo.
Which elevator, and for how long?
Most buildings reserve a service elevator in blocks of time. Book a block long enough for loading, with some slack, and ask what happens if the move runs over.
Is there a loading dock, and what is its clearance?
Some towers have a dock with a height limit; others expect the truck in a lay-by on the street. Tell us what they say so we bring a vehicle that fits.
Do you need a certificate of insurance from the movers?
Many property managers ask for one naming the building or the condo corporation. Ask what wording they want and pass it to us when you book.
Is a deposit or fee charged for the move?
Some buildings hold a refundable deposit against damage to halls and elevators. Find out the amount and how it is returned.
Are there allowed move hours?
Weekday and weekend windows vary by building. Your booked time slot decides our arrival time, so get it in writing.

Send us the building name with your request
With the address of the tower, your elevator slot and both postal codes, we can confirm a truck that suits the dock, the arrival time and whether your date is free.
How elevators and docks affect condo move time
In a house, movers can carry from the room straight to the truck. In a tower around Square One or along Hurontario, every load goes down in the elevator, across a lobby or garage, and out to the truck. If the elevator is shared with residents or the dock is busy with deliveries, the crew waits, and on an hourly rate that wait is part of the bill. Of everything on the list above, a reserved elevator with padded walls saves the most time.
Port Credit adds lakeside mid-rises and older low-rise apartments, some without a dedicated service elevator. Mineola, Lorne Park and Clarkson bring larger detached houses on bigger lots, where the work looks much more like a suburban Oakville move.
Further north, Erin Mills, Meadowvale, Streetsville and Churchill Meadows mix townhouse complexes with detached homes. Townhouse complexes often have visitor parking far from the unit, so tell us where the truck can actually stop.
Estimate a Mississauga move
The drive itself is short, around 19 minutes without traffic, so building logistics usually matter more than kilometres. Choose a truck and your expected hours, and the result includes 13% HST.
1. Pick a truck
2. Start from a home size (planning range)
Hour ranges are a planning guide, not a quote: real time depends on stairs, elevators, how packed you are and the drive between homes. Packing materials are extra. Minimum booking time is confirmed when you reserve.

Cleaning the condo you leave and setting up the new one
Condo sales and lease ends often require the unit to be handed back clean. We can move you, clean the unit once it is empty, and set up the TV and furniture at the new place in one booking.
Your questions, answered
Before you book
Can you provide a certificate of insurance for my Mississauga building?
Insurance is included in every package. Ask your property manager exactly what the building wants on the certificate, send us that wording when you book, and we will tell you what we can provide before move day.
Do you move within Mississauga and across the GTA?
Yes. We move between Mississauga addresses and to other GTA cities. Share your postal codes, date and building-access details for a quote.
What happens if the elevator booking runs out?
That depends on the building's rules, so ask management in advance. Book a longer block than you think you need and have boxes packed and sealed before we arrive, which keeps the loads moving.
Is a condo move cheaper than a house move?
Often, because a condo holds less, so the van at $100 an hour or the medium truck at $120 can be enough. Elevator waits can offset some of that, which is why the booking matters.
How far is Mississauga from Oakville?
About 21.6 km from central Oakville to the civic centre, roughly 19 minutes without traffic by the QEW or Highway 403. Fuel and mileage are already covered in the hourly rate.
Can you take away furniture I am not bringing to the condo?
Yes. Junk removal can be added to the same visit, so the pieces that will not fit the new unit leave with us instead of on the truck to the new address.
